Christmas Wish Drive pick-up today

The Christmas Wish Drive pick-up took place this morning, and it was a great success.  The 65+ families that received gifts and food were overwhelmed and very appreciative for everyone's generosity. Pictured below is the staging area for this year's drive- the small gym at FHS.  Thanks from Letterman's to all the Fox staff that made this year's Christmas Wish Drive another success.  We really appreciate it.

 

 

Christmas Wish Drive shopping

The Lettermen's Club ran into Santa today while completing their Christmas Wish Drive shopping today. 

Then went back to school and organized things for Monday's pickup. 

All Lettermen's Club members need to meet at room 323 Monday morning to help take items to the small gym. 

Next meeting is Thursday December 4th

Our next meeting will be Thursday December 4th, before school, in the small gym. Members will be getting details about shopping for the Christmas Wish Drive. We will be going to/meeting at the Arnold Walmart on Saturday December 6th to shop for our adopted families, then we will be returning to FHS to organize things for the pick-up on Monday December 8th.

Christmas Wish Drive 2014

On the upper left portion of this webpage is the information for this year's Christmas Wish Drive.

Important Dates-
Wednesday November 19th- Schools/Groups/Individuals let me(Steve Boyd @ FHS) know how many families/children they will be able to adopt.
Friday November 21st- Family applications for the CWD are due.
Tuesday November 25th- Families will be notified if they've been adopted.
Tuesday November 25th- Schools/Groups/Individuals will receive the specific information about their adopted family/child, such as toy wishes and clothing sizes.
Friday December 5th- All donations must be delivered/dropped off at FHS. All gifts must be labeled with family/child number. Wrapping the gifts is optional.
Monday December 8th- Family CWD pick up in the commons of FHS from 8am-11am.

Schools/groups/individuals that wish to help but are not able to adopt a family or child are welcome to donate food and/or household items and necessities. Please have these items to FHS by December 5th and they will be divided among the CWD families.

Craft Fair

So far so good at the FHS Fall Craft Fair. Attendance is much higher than last year. See how hard the girls are working... And reminder-don't leave your phone laying around or those silly Letterman's Club members will take goofy selfies.

You can come by room 208 and pick them up after school on Tuesday, before or after school on Wednesday, or at the meeting before school on Thursday.

Next meeting is...

Thursday October 30th before school. We will get ready for the Craft Fair and give out any tshirts that haven't been picked up yet.

Movie night Saturday 10/18

Movie Night begins this Saturday at 645pm. The side Commons doors will be open at 630pm and the movie will be- Little Giants. Bring a bag chair or blanket to sit on. We can also bring our own snacks and drinks, just be sure to clean up after yourself. Movie will be done around 8pm. Have your rides ready.

Next meeting Thursday October 16th before school

Turn in your sheets from the last meeting. If you didn't get it, stop by Mr. Boyd's room (208) to get a copy. It has to do with Movie Night(Oct 18), fall craft fair shifts, and t-shirt orders. Our next meeting is October 16th.

Meeting this Thursday

You should receive information in your advisory class on Wednesday about the meeting this Thursday. If you do not receive the info, ask your advisory teacher about it. The sheets were placed in their mailboxes on Tuesday. We will be meeting in the small gym anytime after 645am. We will have a series of three short meetings, so stop by when you arrive to school.

Meeting postponed one week

We need to postpone the Letterman's Club meeting one week.  There will not be a meeting tomorrow. We will meet on the morning of Thursday September 18th.  There has been a great response of those interested in participating in Letterman's Club and I will get information out to students through their advisory teacher soon. We will meet before school on Thursday September 18th in the small gym.

First meeting - Thursday August 28

We will have our first meeting of the school year on Thursday August 28. We'll meet in the small gym before school and gather info of those interested in joining, and give out info about our first movie night, tshirts, and officer nominations. If you can't make the meeting, see Mr . Boyd in room 208 or Mr. Mitchell. The meeting will start around 7am.

Ice Skating

A fun time was had by those who came out to Kirkwopd for ice skating.

Meeting this Thursday before school

A fun time was has by those that attended our ice skating outing.  This Thursday we have another meeting before school in the staff cafeteria.  We'll be talking about the Blues game in March and making plans for the Spring Marketplace.
